Adoption Agreement

Terms of Agreement

All buyers are required to read, understand, and agree to the following terms prior to adopting a kitten from Abbey Road Rags. These terms exist to protect the health and well-being of every kitten we place.

Health Guarantee

Each kitten comes with a 1-year health guarantee against fatal genetic or congenital defects. The kitten will be vet checked, age-appropriately vaccinated, and dewormed prior to placement.

Spay / Neuter Requirement

All kittens are sold on a pet-only agreement. Buyers are required to spay or neuter their kitten by six months of age and provide written proof from a licensed veterinarian to the breeder. TICA registration papers will not be released until proof of altering is received.

No De-Clawing

Buyers must agree never to declaw their Ragdoll. De-clawing is a painful and unnecessary procedure that Abbey Road Rags strictly prohibits as a condition of adoption.

Indoor Only

All Abbey Road Rags kittens must be kept as indoor-only cats for their entire lives. Outdoor access of any kind is not permitted under the terms of this agreement.

7-Day Quarantine

Upon bringing your new kitten home, buyers must agree to a minimum 7-day quarantine period, isolating the new kitten from any other household pets to allow for safe adjustment and to prevent the spread of illness.

No FIP Vaccine

Buyers must agree not to administer the FIP vaccine to their kitten. This is a firm requirement and must be acknowledged in the signed contract.

Non-Return Policy

For the protection of the entire cattery, under no circumstances will any kitten be allowed to be returned to the cattery at any time, for any reason. Buyers accept full responsibility for the kitten's lifetime care at the time of purchase.

Deposits

A $200 deposit is required to reserve a kitten. All deposits are strictly non-refundable. The deposit constitutes a good-faith commitment to purchase and reserves the kitten for the buyer.

Pricing

Kittens sold at less than full price do not include any health guarantee. Under no circumstances will a kitten be placed prior to payment in full.

Buyer Responsibilities

Buyers are responsible for all future health care including vaccinations, parasite control, routine vet visits, and spay or neuter. Buyers must provide a good, sanitary, and safe home with proper housing, quality food, and appropriate veterinary care.
